I finished one! She's adorable and I think she needs some children. Something about her apron tells me so. She was super fun to make, a nice easy project while relaxing on the couch. I think Frankie will love her...
We also discovered some yarn bombing yesterday on West Broadway. I have never seen any in person before, so I squealed with delight to see these on a pole!
Knit graffiti!! Of course when I came home I went to the internet to see some more, and I discovered this website, Yarn Bombing - and these girls are local! They put a book out last year called Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti. I've seen it at a few shops around town. I love the idea of yarn bombing, when Frankie discovered it she thought it was so cool. It put a smile on peoples faces. It's totally cute. (though on a recent thread on Lion Brand wool many knitters thought it was a waste of yarn) What do you think? Would you spruce up a stop sign or parking meter in your neighborhood? Or would you save your scraps for something else?
